I'm headed to Washington, D.C. for the Emerging Researchers National Conference in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) hosted by AAAS and NSF. The theme of this year's conference is Preparing Diverse Researchers to Address Global Challenges. I'm excited to participate in the Students in STEM with Disabilities Working Group, in which I was invited to share my experiences as a blind scientist.
