This year I served on the Chemists with Disabilities (CWD) committee at the 255th ACS Meeting & Exposition. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with chemists who, like me, have a passion for fostering inclusion of those with disability in the world of chemistry. I had the chance to share my perspective and hear others’ powerful stories. We considered what it means to be disabled in academia today, and we discussed what might happen going forward.
